Elaine Stevens, 81, of Olney died Friday May 16, 1997 at Richland Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Charles McDonald officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Stevens was born March 17, 1916 in Richland County, the daughter of Jacob Levi and Hazel (Brand) Pellum. She married Charles Stevens August 5, 1939 in Henderson, Ky.

She was a homemaker, a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Larry Stevens and his wife, Sharon of Edwardsville, James Stevens and his wife, Debbie of Forsyth and Richard Stevens and his wife, Mary of Westfield, Ind.; one daughter, Linda Stanclift and her husband, Paul of Lawrenceville; and two sisters, Mildred Clark of Olney and Martha Helen "Babe" Summers of St. Louis, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
