Mildred Leota "Sis" (Pellum) Clark, 94, of Olney, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Burgin Manor in Olney. Cremation rites accorded. Private Interment of ashes at Maple Dale Cemetery in Olney with Reverend Jeremy Henson officiating.
Mrs. Clark was born April 12, 1918, in Olney, the daughter of Jacob Levi and Hazel Della (Brand) Pellum. She married George Ronald Clark on November 11, 1944, in Olney. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1969.
She was a 73-year member of the Olney #100 Order of the Eastern Star, a lifetime member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, and a member of the United Methodist Women Mary Circle.
"Sis" worked at the Olney shoe factory for many years, then at the Olney Daily Mail until her retirement. She enjoyed Cardinals baseball, Fighting Illini basketball, and local high-school sports. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends, working on crafts, and active involvement in her church activities.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her daughter, Sue L. Clark, of Olney; brother-in-law, Dr. John Summers, of St. Louis, Mo.; sister-in-law, Imogene Clark, of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Ronald Clark, brother, Robert Pellum, and sisters, Elaine Stevens and Martha "Babe" Summers.
