
Sarah E. Stivers, 87, of Hammond, Indiana passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2004. She was born in Olney, Illinois on January 17, 1917 a daughter of Eugene F. and Bessie A. (Bullard) Stewart.
She is survived by four daughters, Betty (James) Gray of Lowell, Nancy (Mark Loomis) Stivers of Delphi, Ind.; Patricia (Timothy) Kornas of Hammond and Judy (Bob) Ramsey of Cedar Lake; six sons, Edward (Donna) of Sumner, Ill, Charles (Annie) of Olney, Ill, Robert of Hammond, James (Delores) of Crown Point, Terry and Thomas Stivers both of Hammond; brother, Warren (Bernadine) Stewart and sister, Florence (Melvin) Staley, both of Ill.; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles.
Sarah was a longtime Hammond resident and an avid gardener. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Funeral services at the Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home, Hammond. Burial in Memory Lane Cemetery, Schererville.
