Damon Peters, 72 of Centralia and formerly of Olney died Friday August 30, 1991 at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia.  Funeral services at Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia with Father James Daugherty officiating. Burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia.

Mr. Peters was born December 22, 1918 in West Salem, the son of Alva and Emma (Hyde) Peters.  He married Charlene Brookfield May 19, 1937 in Olney.

Prior to moving to Centralia in 1962, Mr. Peters lived in Olney.  He was a retired pipefitter.

Mr. Peters is survived by his wife, Charlene, Centralia; two sons, John Peters of Salem and Dennis Peters of Centralia; one daughter, Janice Coan of Mich.; one sister, Helen Givens of Ind.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
