Jessie A. (Cleaver) Loveless, 95, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Gillespie, Illinois. Born Jan. 23, 1913, in Upton, Ky., she was the daughter of David S. and Leona (Parker) Cleaver. She married George T. Loveless on Nov. 25, 1933, in Alton. He passed away Jan. 11, 1990.

Jessie was employed in the clothing department at Alton Mental Health for eight years and as a cook for the Alton School District for 15 years. She was a member of the St. Matthews Catholic Church and then attended the First Christian Church in Alton. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking for them.

She is survived by one son, George Loveless and his spouse, Lori, of Dorsey; one daughter, Connie Wohlert of Alton; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and eight brothers.

Services at Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, burial at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
