William Willis Tennyson

Col. William Willis "Bill" Tennyson, 65 died early this morning (October 31, 1977) at a hospital in San Francisco, California.

He is a native of Olney, Illinois born June 1, 1912, a son of Rev. John Wesley and Minnie A. (Gray) Tennyson and was in the Shell Oil business in Olney before World War II and was a former Olney city commissioner.  Col. Tennyson was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

Surviving are his wife, Favor Jackson, formerly of Olney; two daughters, Janette Faye and Billie of San Francisco; a sister, Alice Onsgard of Colorado Springs and brothers, John W. of Fort Myers, Fla., Alfred of Seal Beach, Cal., Paul of Laguna Hills, Cal. and Levi of Olney.

Funeral services at Concord, California with burial in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
