Harvey Franklin Gillespie of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada passed away peacefully September 20, 1997 in the presence of his family at the age of 83 years. He was born November 12, 1913 in Olney, Illinois son of Thomas E. and Eva M. (Kent) Gillespie. He married Martha Beatrice Pitts in Richland County Illinois on June 4, 1939 and she survives.

He is survived by his loving family of Sherwood Park, Edmonton, Beausejour, Manitoba, Toronto, Ontario and Flora, Illinois.

The family expresses thanks to all the supportive friends, family and staff and volunteers of the Cross Cancer Institute.

A private family service held at Appel Funeral Homes/Central Memorial Chapel, Edmonton.
