Medford N. “Tex” Wilson

12-26-1912 – 3-28- 2001

Tex Wilson, 88, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001.  He was born in Orchard County, Texas and moved to Richland County, Illinois when he was 12.

He enlisted in the Air Force in 1932 and served for 40 years.  He was with the Veterans Administration Education Department and with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Los Angeles from 1951 until retiring.  He moved to Keizer in 1971.

He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Elks, St. Vincent de Paul and Blind Veterans. He enjoyed fishing. 

He married Ida Mae in 1938; she died in 1996.

Survivors include his daughter, Willie Jakob of Keizer; son, Thomas of Sunland, Calif; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mass was held at St. Edward Catholic Church where he was a member. Interment at St. Barbara Cemetery.
