James A. Weber, Jr.

Dr. James A. Weber, 66, 31 Willow Drive, died suddenly Friday in Scottsdale, Arizona. (October 31, 1980).  Private services in Scottsdale with a memorial service held in Olney in the First Methodist Church.

Dr. Weber was born in Olney March 31, 1914 to Dr. James A. and Eugenia (Powers) Weber. He married Helen Jane Niles in 1933, who survives.

Dr. Weber, an Olney dentist for 40 years, retired in March, 1979.

He was a Major in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Dr. Weber was director of the First National Bank in Olney and a member of the First Methodist Church. He was also a member of the American Legion, Elks, Illinois Dental Association and the American Dental Association. He served as president of the Olney Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by two sons, James III, Riverton, Wy. and William, Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Jane Ezell, a nurse serving in the Air Force in West Germany; five grandchildren; a brother, John; four sisters, Kitty Fye, Mary Redman and Eugenia Edmiston all of Olney, and George Jolly Rye, Monroe, Mich.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene P. Weber.
