Elizabeth was born March 8, 1913 in St. Louis, Missouri daughter of Benjamin Franklin Musgrove and Sophie M (Gerber) Musgrove.

She married Harold Abbott in Edwardsville, Illinois in 1934. He died in 1992.

Elizabeth and Harold Abbott had three children.
