Mary Elizabeth Brown, 82, formerly of Olney, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1992, at Gentle Care Nursing Home in Vincennes, Ind.  Funeral services in the chapel of Zirkle Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Tipton officiating. Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park.

Mrs. Brown was born Sept. 26, 1910, in Robertson, Ill., the daughter of Rev. J. B. and Rosa (Westall) Connett. She married Lyle R. Brown June 17, 1943.

Mrs. Brown was a school teacher in the East Richland School District from 1934 to 1968, when she retired. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney, Retired Teachers Association, and Goodwill Rebekah Lodge 1201.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, Lyle Brown of Olney and one nephew, James Connett of Goodard, Kan.
