Benny Lewis Miller

Benny Lewis Miller, 80, of Olney, died on Friday, February 23, 2001, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. Mr. Miller was born on September 13, 1920, in Richland County, the son of Harry S. and M. Letitia (Campbell) Miller. He married Marian Fleming on December 20, 1944. She survives.

He was a retired sales manager for Armco Steel Corporation. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and United Methodist Men; a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II; member of American Legion; member of Society of John Wesley Fellows; member of Parkersburg Masonic Lodge #509; member of Midland, Texas - Keystone Chapter 172 REM; member of Midland, Texas - Commandry #84 Knights Templer; was one of the founders of Good Samaritan of Richland County; served on Olney City Council; served on the first Olney Community College Citizen Advisory Council; served on Richland County Development Corporation; former member of East Richland Board of Education; member of Richland Heritage Museum; and served on Board of United Methodist Village.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Marian Miller, of Olney; three sons, David K. Miller, of Spring, Texas, Larry L. Miller and his wife, Cheryl, of Olney, and Martin G. Miller and his wife, Debra, of The Woodlands, Texas; and 11 grandchildren, John Miller and his wife, Quinlan, Cheryl Miller, Kristen Miller, Matthew Miller, Pamela Miller, Mark Miller, Luke Miller, Amanda Miller, Chad Miller, Erin Miller and Adam Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter-in-law, Betty Miller.

Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery in rural Richland County.
