Dennis Roy Magee, 68, of Olney, died Friday, August 19, 2011, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville, Ind.  Cremation rites were accorded.

Mr. Magee was born March 6, 1943, in Robinson, the son of Maurice and June (Hutcherson) Magee. He married Sylvia “Kay” Gulledge on September 5, 1989. She survives.

He was a retired Physical Education and Driver's Education teacher at East Richland High School.

Mr. Magee is survived by his wife, Kay Magee, of Olney; daughter, Azure Simpson, of Kansas City, Mo.; stepson, John New, of Oblong; stepson, Jason New and his wife, Jessica, of Bridgeport; stepdaughter, Tonna McNary, of Oblong; brother, Kenneth Magee, of Texas; brother, Larry Magee, of Arizona; sister, Patty Doyle, of Casey; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and June Magee; one son, Devic Magee; and one stepson, Jeremy New.

Memorials may be made to Driver's Education Program at East Richland High School.
