Russell G. "Hub" Holtz, 81, of Olney, died Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dundas Cemetery in Dundas with Rev. Bill Rennels officiating.

Mr. Holtz was born on March 20, 1928, in Olney, the son of Zina and Della (Mosser) Holtz. He married Florence Castle on April 16, 1948. She survives.

He was retired from Prairie Farms.

Mr. Holtz is survived by his wife, Florence Holtz, of Olney; daughter, Ruth Thomann and her husband, Mike, of Olney; daughter, Kathy Patterson and her husband, Richard, of Newton; nephew, Kerry Holtz and his wife, Laura, of Olney; niece, Karen Winters, of Flora; niece, Phyllis Rohr, of Haubstadt, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Aly Williams, Matt Thomann, Andy Thomann, Keane Thomann, Kyle Thomas, Trace Thomas, Marsha Foshee and Karen Christner; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Karl; and one infant sister.
