Donald W. Murry, 90, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully Friday morning, September 24, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 1, 1931 in Bridgeport, IL, the son of Raymond and Nellie (Nettleton) Murry.

Donald proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He married his sweetheart, Norma Stanley on September 1, 1956. Donald worked at Amerock for many years until his retirement. He was an active member of Prairie Road General Baptist Church. Donald enjoyed gardening, fishing and being outdoors as much as possible.

Donald is loved and missed by his children, Michael Murry, Linda Vitale, Carla Jones, Bradley Murry and Vickie Haverkamp; 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Harold, Glen, Virginia and Kenneth; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Norma, daughter-in-law, Karen Murry, siblings, Elizabeth, LeRoy, Ray and Susan.
