Betty Shaw (McDonald)

Betty S. McDonald, 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, August 28, 2007.

She is survived by her son, Robert Ray McDonald of Las Vegas, NM; sister, Marian Coomer of Olney, IL; sister-in-law, Shirley Shaw of Arlington, WA; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond McDonald; her parents, Hugh and Lyda (Demunbrun) Shaw;  two sisters and two brothers.
 
Betty was raised in Olney, Illinois and came to Albuquerque at the age of seventeen. She worked in the secretarial staff at Kirtland Air Force Base, and later traded in antiques. Her joy later in life was her dog Panda Bear.  Betty was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church and participated as a member of the United Methodist Women.
 
A Memorial Service will be celebrated in Betty's honor at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Davis officiating.
