Dr. Russell L. Schnepper, 81, Platteville, Wisconsin died on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Lancaster.  Memorial services held at the Lancaster Congregational Church with Pastor Mark Dieter officiating.

Dr. Schnepper was born December 19, 1931 in Olney, son of Roy R. and Evelyn Shipley Schnepper.

Dr. Schnepper practiced primarily large animal medicine in Wisconsin's Grant County for 54 years.  During that time, he owned Lancaster Veterinary Clinic in Lancaster and served as president of Schnepper International in Plattevile.

Dr. Schnepper was a member of the Wisconsin VMA and was a past treasurer of the Southwestern Wisconsin VMA.  He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Jaycees.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; four sons and eight daughters; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
