Kathryn Patricia (Robinson) McWilliams, 93, of Olney passed away on May 19, 2024. Kathryn Patricia was born on July 9, 2930, the daughter of Daisy (Smith) and Wilbur Robinson later known as “Pat”, was the tenth and last-born child of the family. Living in Olney, the family was very close knit and faith minded. Pat was a naturally talented musician (she played piano, guitar, and harmonica by ear, played upright bass in school, and sang countless hymns with her sisters), an avid book reader, and excellent cook and baker who canned and preserved food, and love of word games (she and her sister Ruth were known for playing Boggle, Scrabble and Upwords).
Pat had three children of her own; Terry Warren (deceased), John Warren (deceased) and Jane Berry. Later in life, she married her husband Mac, and gained three stepsons, Mike McWilliams, Bruce McWilliams (deceased), and John McWilliams. She and Mac adopted Bruce’s son Derek after he passed.
Pat worked at the Lynn Ann Shop and Sherman’s Department Store in downtown Olney, and she also held a position as a switchboard operator and fulfilled clerical duties in the front office at Richland Memorial Hospital. She then worked in the Richland County Clerk’s office before she married Mac in 1982.
Pat and Mac loved dancing and packing up their car for vacations and traveling. They even took some of the grandkids with them during summer trips and during quieter times. They enjoyed watching golf tournaments together and always opened their home to family.
Pat is survived by Mike, John Jane (Tim) and Derek (Rachel), several grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
