Nadine Jennings (Baker)

Wilma "Nadine" (Jennings) Baker, 93, of Olney, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital.

Nadine was born June 3, 1930 in Richland County, Illinois, the daughter of Guy Edward and Ethel Emma (Bowlby) Jennings. She married Charles David Fleming on April 2, 1950, and he preceded her in death on April 17, 1972. She later married Raleigh Baker on May 6, 1979, and he also preceded her in death on October 6, 2009.

Nadine enjoyed gardening and quilting. She was also an active member in her church, Immanuel Methodist Church. Nadine had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior and loved her family.

Nadine is survived by her son, Ken Fleming and wife Terry of Olney; son, James Fleming and wife Ronda of Evansville, IN; stepson, Wayne Baker of Colorado Springs, CO; stepson, James Baker and wife Sherri of Olney; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Julie) Fleming, Krista (Matt) McLaren, Rachel (Andrew) Fulton, and Brian Fleming; step-grandchildren, Dusty (Shannon) Baker, Jesse (Mary) Baker, and Angi (Ben) Saunders; great grandchildren, Rebekah, David, and Micah Fleming, and Marissa and Kolton McLaren; step-great grandchildren, Raleigh and Eva Kay Baker, Cyler Baker, Annika "Ace" Baker, Penny Samora, Flo Samora, Hazel Saunders, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, siblings, Opal Pitts, Paul Jennings, Warren Jennings, Maxine Kurtz, and Nola Mae Sager, and step-daughter-in-law, Marsha Baker.

A visitation will be held for friends and family on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home.

Interment will follow the service at Ebenezer Cemetery in rural Olney.
