Roy Lee Hixon, 89, of Claremont, Illinois, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Helia Healthcare in Olney, Illinois. Roy was born on February 5, 1932, in Claremont Township in Richland County, Illinois, the son of Charles Hixon and Cora (Atkins). He married Pauline Wood on August 16, 1953 in Albion, Illinois, and she survives.

Roy is survived by his wife, Pauline Hixon; daughter, Lynn Huff and husband John of Pacific, MO; son, Bruce Hixon and wife Tami of Carlyle, IL; grandchildren, Nathan and Holly Huff of Pacific, MO, and Carson and Amy Hixon of Carlyle, IL; sister, Leona (David) Lucas of Mattoon, IL; sister-in-law, Linda Hixon of Flat Rock, IL; brother-in-law, Ron Wood of Spring Hill, TN; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Joe, Marion, Charles Jr., Raymond, and Jack Hixon.

A visitation for Roy will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.

Interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park. Full Military Rites will be performed at the graveside.

A funeral service for Roy will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney with Reverend Gary Wachtel and Pastor James Majernik officiating.
