Leonard Farris, 84, of Noble, passed away on November 1, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.  Graveside services at Noble Cemetery, Noble, Illinois with full military rites accorded.

Leonard was born March 23, 1931 in Olney, IL to Roy Telford and Neva (Claycomb) Farris. He married Clara Genevieve Muhs on June 11, 1955, she precedes him in death.

Leonard owned and operated Farris Auto Service in Noble for nearly 20 years. He also was a rural postal carrier for the Noble Post Office.  He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Leonard enjoyed motorcycle riding and flying airplanes. He was a member of the Olney Area Pilots Association, Experimental Aircraft Association, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Leonard was also a member of the American Motorcycle Association. He took pleasure in spending time with his family.

He is survived by sons, Roy (Jasmine) Farris of Franklin, IN, David Farris of Plainfield, IN, Mark (Judy) Farris of Gainesville, FL, and Clint Farris of Noble, IL;  grandchildren, Ty, Benya, Kent, Katie Farris, Justin Smith, Grady, Olivia and Jill Farris; great grandchildren, Logan Farris, Aria and Lila Manoocheri, Brady and Aiden Smith; sister, Wanda Lee Heindselman of Olney, and several nieces and nephews.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister, Teddy Lou Farris.
