Rosetta (Anderson) Urfer, 92, of West Liberty, Illinois passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. Rosetta was born March 12, 1931 in Richland County, Illinois, the daughter of Orry and Rosa (Scherer) Anderson. She married Leon Dale Urfer in 1951 in Olney, and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2014.

Rosetta was a homemaker and farmed alongside her husband, Leon. She had a strong work ethic and a deep faith in the Lord. Rosetta was always busy caring for others and making sure their needs were met. She was also a member of West Liberty Methodist Church.

Rosetta is survived by her sons, Jim (Becky) of Claremont, Ron (Kenna) of Flora, and Jerry (Kristi) of Olney; Grandchildren; Lindsey Urfer, Ross (Logan) Urfer, Justin (Malory) Urfer, Kary (Greg) Bare, Erica (Brent) Hemrich, and Brooke (Zach) Seesengood; Great Grandchildren, Knox Urfer, Elise, Nora, Ada, and Tate Urfer, Elizabeth Bare, Rolen and Everly Hemrich, and Bella and Elly Seesengood; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four sisters, Lelah Schnepper, Ruth Gerber, Bernadine Brinkley, and Barbara Resor.

A funeral service will be held for Rosetta at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Crest Haven Memorial Park.
