On February 22, 2019, at the age of 89, Paul E. "Gene" Rose, passed peacefully to meet with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Gene was predeceased by his loving and caring wife, Dorothy Joan and his oldest daughter, Vicki Jo Black.

He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Black and Paula Cardinal; a stepson, Kevin Sterchi and a stepdaughter, Terri Novak, and one brother, Larry L. Rose.

Gene, before his retirement at age 80, was employed for more than 20 years as the Chief Financial Officer for Payne Dealer Group in Weslaco, Texas where Bud and Marlee Payne became his dearest and closest friends.

No local service held in Texas. A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, March 16, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Elm Street Christian Church in Olney. Cremation rites have been accorded.
