Robert E. "Bob" Grove, 77, of Noble, died Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Cremation rites were accorded. Graveside services at Hope Chapel in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in rural Claremont with Pastor Steve Wingert officiating.

Mr. Grove was born on March 28, 1929, in Richland County, the son of Ohmer and Marie (Rottinghaus) Grove. He was a retired roughneck in the oil field.

He is survived by his father, Ohmer Grove, of Olney; four daughters, Debbie McWhirter and her husband, Kenny, of Carmi, Judy Johnson, of Olney, Janet Edgin and her husband, Doug, of Vincennes, Ind., and Lisa Bruner, of Olney; brother, Danny Grove and his wife, Marilyn, of Olney; sister, Diana Schmidt and her husband, Gene, of Noble; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Grove was preceded in death by his mother and two brothers.
