Betty Jane Whiteside Lathrop, 81 of Berryville died Monday November 12, 2007 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana.

Mrs. Lathrop was born August 8, 1926, the daughter of Sam and Emma Whiteside. She married Charles O. Lathrop on December 24, 1944.

She was a registered nurse and worked at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney for many years.

Mrs. Lathrop is survived by her husband; daughter, Judy Heiser of Olney; son Charles A. Lathrop of Berryville; three grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Merile Whiteside; sisters, Cleo Paddick and Beatrice Spitz and granddaughter, Ann-Marie Lathrop.
