Jim West, 74, of Olney died June 2, 2000 at Terre Haute, Indiana.  Funeral services at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, rural Claremont. Burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Mr. West was born April 9, 1926 in Richland County, the son of Lewis and Lula (Leibhart) West. He married Connie West of Olney. She survives.

He was a retired truck driver for IML Teamsters and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Mr. West is survived by his wife, Connie; one son, James Michael West of Marysville, Ohio; four daughters, Carol Lynn Willis and husband, Doug of Fremont, Calif., Elaine Sue Woolley and husband, Ray of Terre Haute, Ind., Kathryn Diane Westfall and husband, Curt of Marysville, Ohio. and Kelly Jo Cerna and husband, Martin of Brentwood, Calif.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
