Betty Lou Wilson, 71, of Olney died Thursday, February 12, 1998 at Burgin Manor Nursing Home in Olney.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Rushing officiating.  Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Wilson was born December 6, 1926 in Richland County, the daughter of Earl G. and Edith (Adams) Wachtel.

She was a retired beautician and was a member of First United Methodist Church and Olney Garden Club.

She is survived by her mother, of Olney; one son, Donald Jay Wilson and his wife, Marylou of St. Louis; one brother, Earl G. Wachtel, Jr. and his wife, Shirley of San Jose, Calif.; three grandchildren and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father.
