Doris Lee Wheat, 79, of East Peoria passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born Oct. 3, 1926, in Mt. Erie, Ill., to C.J. and Blanche (Parson) Taylor. She married Warren Wheat on Sept. 29, 1945, in Cisne, Ill.

He survives along with three daughters, Diana (and Charles) Robbins of East Peoria, Valery (and Paul) Beckman of Livonia, Mich., and Shelly Wheat of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three granddaughters, Tina (and Hakan) Eksi of Atlanta, Ga., Tisha (and Kelly) Thelen of Metamora, Ill., and Hilary Hertenstein of Morton, Ill.; and four great-grandchildren, Connor and Haley Eksi, and Nicholas and Alissa Thelen; one sister, Theresa Trimmer of Mt. Erie, Ill.; and three brothers, Verl "Pop" (and Beulah) Taylor, Claude "Jr." (and Ethel) Taylor, and Leo Floyd "Dick" Taylor, all of Mt. Erie, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Joyce Holman; and two brothers, Glen and Frank Owen "Jack" Taylor.

Funeral services at Hosselton Funeral Home. Burial in Scott Cemetery in Mt. Erie, Ill.
