Jerry Scherer

Jerry E. Scherer, 66, of Tripoli, Wisconsin, died Friday September 10, 1993 at Riverview Terrace Nursing Home.  Funeral services at the Krueger & Sons Funeral Home in Tomahawk, Wis., with the Rev. Sherman Iverson officiating. A military graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Scherer was born January 30, 1927 in Dundas, the son of Edward and Grayce Scherer. He married Dona M. Boone on October 25, 1947 in Olney.

Mr. Scherer was a veteran of World War II and also served during the Korean Conflict, which he had served as a company commander. He was a Civil Service employee working at Fort Sheridan as a management analyst and also as deputy post commander, before retiring in 1982.

Mr. Scherer was a member of the American Legion, the North American Hunting Club and was a past president of the Somo Fish and Game Club.

Mr. Scherer is survived by his wfie, Dona Scherer of Tripoli, Wisc.; two sons, Steve Scherer of Stevens Point, Wis. and Mark Scherer of Elmhurst and four grandchildren.
