Evelyn Marie VonAlmen, 75, of Albemarle, North Carolina, formerly of Morton, Illinois passed away Wednesday November 20, 2002 at Stanley Manor Nursing Home in Albemarle, N.C.

Evelyn was born on September 6, 1927 in Olney, IL, daughter of William and Beulah Mae Cullison Poland. She married Delbert E. VonAlmen on August 27, 1945 and he survives.

Surviving are her husband, Delbert E. VonAlmen of Albemarle, NC; two daughters, Judy L. Lane and her husband, Bob of Peoria, IL and Becky J. Brown and her husband Mike of Albemarle, NC; three sisters, Juanita Walters and her husband, W.R. of Findley, OH, Julia Jones and her husband, Ed of Redlands, CA and Mildred Parnell and her husband Rex of Olney; one grandson and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Evelyn retired in June of 1990 after 28 years of service as a clerk for the Supervisor of Assessments Office for the Tazwell County Courthouse. She was a member of East Peoria Free Methodist Church in East Peoria, IL.
