Betty Jo Wimer, 63, Olney, Ill. died February 3, 1990 at Lake City Medical Center, Lake City, Florida.  Funeral services at Zirkle Funeral Home in Olney with Pastor Millie Sloan officiating. Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park.

Mrs. Wimer was born November 11, 1926 in Peoria, IL., the daughter of Kenneth R. and Flo (Jones) Nelson. She married Robert Wimer in Olney, December 24, 1955 and he survives.

She was a housewife and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church of Olney. She was a past president of Olney Woman's Club, a member of Richland Post 30 American Legion Auxiliary, past Richland County Republican chairlady and past secretary of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Robert, are one daughter, Jean and husband, Rev. Jeff Dickerson, Effingham; two stepdaughters, Sharon Kennedy, Anchorage, Alaska, Sue Clark, Norman, Ok.; one brother, Wayne Nelson, Peoria; one sister, Jean Larkin, Omaha, Neb.; two grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
