Bernadine Meadows Tyner Class of 1944Bernadine Tyner, 90, of Olney, passed away on July 10, 2016 in Olney, IL.  Services at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney with burial at Crest Haven Cemetery east of Olney.

Bernadine was born November 25, 1925 in Richland County Illinois, daughter of Glen and Ethel (Boatman) Meadows. She married Jesse Tyner on April 28, 1946 in Clovis, NM. He precedes her in death.

Bernadine was an RN at Richland Memorial Hospital for many years. She also taught nursing at Wabash Valley Community College. Bernadine was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olney, Baptist Women's Missionary Society and leader of the Women's bible study. She was a member of the Olney Garden Club and past president of the Clio Club. Bernadine is best remembered for the floral arrangements she prepared for the church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and traveling with her husband and family. She took pleasure in family dinners and celebrations.

She is survived by a son, Blake (Sharon) Tyner of East Moline, IL; daughters, Susan (Earl) Urfer of Dundas, IL and Kathy (Chip) Elmblad of Divide, CO; grandchildren, Dustin Tyner, Alissa (Travis) Hirl, Carrie (Derek) Tipsword, Claire (Hunter) Wilson, Anne Elmblad, Alex Elmblad; great grandchildren, Logan, Hayden, Jillian, and Elaina; Sisters, Eva Jenner, Darlene Dickerson, Esther Meredith, and Bernice (Lou) Plank; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bernadine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Norman and Harold Meadows and sister, Ann Slater.
