Ruby Paddick, 81, Oblong, Illinois passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008, at the Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong. Born on January 17, 1927, in Claremont, Illinois she was the daughter of Charles Madden and Daisy Wingert Madden.
Ruby graduated from Olney Township High School ~ Class of 1944. She was a homemaker. She was affiliated with the Prior Grove Church, rural Oblong. She enjoyed genealogy.
On June 17, 1944, she married Lyle Marvin Paddick, who preceded her in death on October 8, 1997. Also preceding her in death were her parents; and three sisters, Victoria Ledeker, Isolene Madden and Sylvia Turner.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis & Sherry Paddick; one daughter, Donna Paddick; four grandchildren, Colin Rothrock, Kristin Rothrock, Shawn Paddick and Kendra & Kirk Bailey; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial in Waggoner Cemetery, rural Crawford County.
