Thornton Krudwig

Thornton "Bud" Krudwig, 78, of Olney died Tuesday July 20, 2004 at Burgin Manor in Olney.  Graveside services in Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Olney with full military rites. Reverend Scott Carlson and Pastor Mark Mathis officiating.

Mr. Krudwig was born on January 21, 1926 in Joplin, Mo., the son of Dean E. and Cleo B. (Thornton) Krudwig. He married Joann Gillespie on June 3, 1944 in Henderson, Ky. She survives.

He was a retired agent for Prudential Insurance Co. and a former employee of OilWell Supply Co. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Olney and Elks Lodge and American Legion.

Mr. Krudwig is survived by his wife, Joanne Krudwig of Olney; two daughters, Karen Siddens and her husband, Dr. David of Olney and Ann Boyd and her husband, Phillip of Olney; three grandchildren, Susan Siddens, Angela Sloss and her husband, Chris and Andrew Flynn and a great-granddaughter, Rachel Sloss.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Krudwig McClure.
