Maxine Carol (Gray) Moorefield, age 55, of Phoenix, Arizona, who had been a bookkeeper and in sales with the Navajo Marketing Company for 15 years, died March 17, 1982, while visiting in Jackson, Mississippi.

Mrs. Moorefield was born January 19, 1927, a daughter of Jess P. and Ethel (Wachtel) Gray.

Mrs. Moorefield moved to Phoenix in 1946 from her native Illinois.

She is survived by her husband, Sanford G. Moorefield; daughters, Sandra Seip and Patti Sanderman; two granddaughters; a sister, Ethel A. Cross and two brothers, Willard D.Gray and Ross D. Gray.

Services in First Christian Church, 6750 N. Seventh Ave, Phoenix.
