Anna Mae Eyer (Goldsmith)

Anna Mae Goldsmith, 81, formerly of West Salem, Ill., passed away Sunday, March 25, 2007, at Rest Haven Manor in Albion.

Anna Mae was born March 22, 1926, in Olney, Ill., to Asher and Audrey (Worthey) Eyer. She married Lowell Goldsmith Jr. on Nov. 27, 1947, in Olney.

During their 46 years of marriage they owned and operated Goldsmith's Paint and Wallpaper store in Olney and Goldsmith's Home Furniture store in West Salem. Anna Mae was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem. One of her greatest joys was singing, providing music for plays, radio shows, weddings, church and funerals.

Anna Mae is survived by a daughter, LuAnn and husband, Dr. Gary Stevens of Albion; son, Eric Todd and wife, Debbie, of West Salem, Ill.; three granddaughters, Meghann Stevens, Erica Goldsmith and Jennifer Goldsmith; one sister, Dorothy Weber of Clatskanie, Ore.; and ten nieces and nephews. Other devoted and attentive friends and relatives include, Leagh Goldsmith, Naomi Welsh and Charlie and Jennie Cox.

Funeral services at the Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem. Burial  in Crest Haven Cemetery east of Olney, Ill.
