Virginia E. Cassady Collings, 55, of Oblong, Illinois, died Tuesday morning, October 12, 1982 in her home.  Funeral service in First Christian Church, Oblong with burial in Oblong Cemetery.

Mrs. Collings was born in Olney, daughter of Harry and Floy (McWilliams) Cassady. She married John Collings in 1957.

She was a member of Oblong First Christian Church and Olney Women of the Moose.

Surviving are her husband, John Collings; daughters, Judy Collings and Mrs. Jerry (Karen) Skaggs both of Oblong; Mrs. Michael (Sandra) Huff of Virginia Beach, Va; Mrs. Charles (Paula) Midgett of Robinson; brother, Vincent Cassady of Alton; sisters, Peg Marshall of Bogota; Nixola Hamilton of Evansville, Ind; Pat Carroll of Indianapolis, Ind; half brother, Douglas Cassady of Olney; step brothers, Bill, Bob and Ed Ritter all of Olney and five grandchildren.
