Helen M. Warren, 92, of Sterling, Illinois, died Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Regency Care of Sterling.

Helen was born September 1, 1925, in Mount Erie, the daughter of Bedie and Pearl (Vandaveer) Berg. She was a school teacher in Orchardville, and she later married Earl Warren on May 22, 1946, in Sterling. He preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 1975. Helen was an avid bowler, and enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, and going to casinos. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great-granddaughter.

Survivors include two sons, Dean Warren and Dale Warren, both of Sterling; one daughter, Vickie (Donald) Goshert of Sterling; one brother, Henry "Frank" Berg of Texas; two grandchildren, Collin Goshert of Sterling and Paige Goshert of Chicago; one great-granddaughter, Emery Goshert of Surprise, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Duey Berg, Carrol Berg, and Bud Berg; and two sisters, Irene Berg and Zula Grace Blessing.

A gathering of family and friends held at McDonald Funeral Home, 505 First Ave., Sterling, with Brad Wilson, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Sterling, officiating.
