Florence Staley, 82, of Dundas, died Thursday July 24, 2008 at Burgin Manor in Olney. Her body was donated to science and no services planned.

Mrs. Staley was born on July 26, 1925 in Olney, the daughter of Eugene and Bessie (Bullard) Stewart. She married Melvin Staley on September 1, 1950 in Olney.  He survives.

Florence worked at International Shoe Factory and the Olney Garment Factory until they closed. She was of the Methodist faith and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin of Dundas; a son, Jeff Staley and his wife, Sue of Calhoun; daughters, Sheila Carlen and her husband, Dennis of Dundas; Diane Werley of Dundas; a brother, Warren Stewart and his wife, Bernadine of Dundas; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Bessie Stewart and two sisters, Grace Roth and Sarah Stivers.
