Pfc. Bernard E. Brauer, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brauer of Olney, was killed in action April 22, 1945 in Germany, according to word received from the War department by his parents.  Brauer was serving with the Seventh army in the European and Pacific areas and had been reported as missing since April 22.

Besides his parents, Harry and Rowena Brauer, he leaves two brothers, Lt. Harry Brauer and Lt. John Brauer.

Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, Olney, Ilinois.
