Frances Elder, 52, of Olney died this morning May 27, 1978 at Burgin Manor No. 2.  Services at Summers Funeral Home with the Rev. Elmer Fenton officiating. Interment in the Memorial Garden section of Haven Hill Cemetery.

She was born in Olney December 24, 1925, daughter of William Armsey and Mary Abiehl Armsey.

Surviving are her husband, John R. Elder; two sons, Dr. Michael G. Elder of Decatur and Dr. John C. Elder of Liberal, Ks.; a daughter, Mrs. Steve (Jodie) Francis of Duarte, Calif.; a brother, James Armsey of Olney and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George Armsey.

Mrs. Elder was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church of Olney.
