Bernadene E. Brinkley, 93, of Olney, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Burgin Manor in Olney.  Bernadene was born on April 27, 1925 in Richland Co. Illinois, the daughter of Orra “Orry” and Rosa (Scherer) Anderson.  She married Marion Brinkley on June 19, 1949.  He preceded her in death on April 28, 2011.

Bernadene was a dedicated farm wife, caring for the cattle, gardening, and raising her children. She enjoyed raising flowers and researching family history. She was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney.

Bernadene is survived by her sons, David (Connie) Brinkley of Olney, IL and Kenny Brinkley of Flora; daughter, Donna May of Olney; grandchildren, Kevin Brinkley, Katie Clodfelter, Jamison Eagle, Jesse Brinkley, Alison Brinkley, Jason May; great-grandchildren, Selah Brinkley, Nolan Brinkley, Brilyn Brinkley, Brason Brinkley, and Jackson Clodfelter; step-great-grandchildren, Sasha and Temperance Eagle; sister,  Rosetta Urfer. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Judy Brinkley; sisters, Leah Schnepper, Ruth Gerber and Barbara Resor; son-in-law, William G. May; daughter-in-law, Cindy Brinkley.

Services at Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney with burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park.
