Robert E. Lythgoe, 77, of Loogootee, Indiana died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, at the Martin County Health Care Center.

He was a teacher with the Greater Jasper School Corp. for 28 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Amy Kathleen Stinson and Rachel Ann Lythgoe; two sons, Robert David and John Michael; a sister, Patricia Stuffle; a brother, George; and seven grandchildren.

Services at St. John Catholic Church, burial in the church cemetery, with military rites.
