Nancy Comer (Emanus)

Nancy Jo Emanus, 40 of Claremont, died Sunday July 10, 2005 at her residence.  Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery near Claremont.

Ms. Emanus was born on July 9, 1965 in Charleston, the daughter of Russell Simon and Betty Jean (Paul) Comer. After her father's death in 1966, she was raised by her mother, Betty Babbs and her step-father, James Babbs, who both preceded her in death in 1998.

She was a graduate of East Richland high School. She worked as a CNA for many years and worked at Brunswick Bicycles in Olney for 7 1/2 years until the plant closed. She was working in the dialysis unit at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind. at the time of her illness.

Ms. Emanus is survived by a son, Seth Henry at home; her faithful and loving companion, J.D. Henry of Olney; a brother, Byron Comer of Centralia; and four sisters, Linda Nelson of Greenup, Marilyn Closson of Toledo, Carol Lawrence of High Point, N.C. and Sandy Pearson of Rockford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather and a brother, Carl Closson.

Ronda Aldridge (Campbell) (1984)

Nancy was my best friend.  Even when I moved away, and even if we didn't talk for an entire year - when we did talk it was as if we never missed a day.  I miss you, Nancy.
