Arol R. Whitaker, 47, of Olney, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1992 at Richland Memorial Hospital  Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery.

Mr. Whitaker was born Jan. 1, 1945, in Olney, the son of Lee and Waneda (Stevens) Whitaker. He married Donna Marie Davis on June 8, 1974, in Vergennes.

Mr. Whitaker was head of maintenance for Spartan Engineering, Inc. in Grayville. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church; Olney Masonic Lodge #140 A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite Bodies of Southern Illinois; Ainad Temple, Center Shrine Club, White Shrine of Jerusalem #85 in Murphysboro and a life member of American Motorcycle Association.

Mr. Whitaker is survived by his wife, Donna Marie Whitaker of Olney; one son, Justin Lee Whitaker at home; one daughter, Deana Marie Whitaker at home; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Whitaker and wife Judy of Olney; mother, Waneda Whitaker of Olney; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Loran and Alma Davis of Vergennes; three brothers-in-law and their wives, Eugene and Carol Davis of Shelbyville, Barry and Theresa Davis of Murphysboro and Marty and Debbie Davis of Vergennes; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Whitaker was preceded in death by his father, Lee Whitaker.
