John von Almen, 59, Toledo and formerly of Olney died September 16, 1982 in his home.  Services held in Edon United Methodist Church.

Mr. von Almen was born in Olney and graduated from high school here in 1941.

He was a counselor and music teacher in the Edon High School.

Survivors include two sons, John C. and Mark; and two daughters, Julie and Amy von Almen.
