Mrs. Wilma Nadine Mathis, 53, of 1301 E. North Ave., Olney died Thursday evening April 1, 1976 at Richland Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services in the Chapel of the Zirkle Funeral Home with Pastor Ed. Eichenberger officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Mathis was born October 26, 1922 in Richland County, daughter of John A. and Anna Johnston Scranton. She was united in marriage with Deward Mathis in Olney December 15, 1945. He preceded her in death February 28, 1965.

For several years she was employed at Tresslars in Olney.

Surviving are a son, Darrell Lee Mathis of Olney; a daughter, Miss Donna Lynne Mathis of Springfield; her mother, Mrs. Anna Rae Scranton of Olney; a brother, John A. Scranton of Columbia, S.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Wallace (Annabelle) Bates of Martinsville and Mrs. Harry (Ethel) Crosby of Flora; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, husband and a niece.
