Edwin S. McGarvey, 63, of Olney died at Richland Memorial Hospital Thursday August 2, 1984.  Services at Summers Funeral Home with burial at Haven Hill Cemetery with military graveside rites by Olney Veterans Organizations.

Mr. McGarvey was born in Grayville, the son of Harry and Georgia (Harden) McGarvey on July 15, 1921. He was a retired laborer.

He was a member of the VFW Post 4226 in Olney, Richland Post 30 American Legion in Olney, Senior Citizens, Golden Friendship Club and a member of the First Marine Division in World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
