Kathryn Coan (Attar)

Emma Kathryn Attar, 62, Elgin, and formerly of Olney, died March 28, 1985, in St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Services in St. Catholic Church in Olney with Rev. Father Jim Buerster presiding.

Mrs. Attar was born May 3, 1922, in Olney, the daughter of Frand and Bertha (Derler) Coan.  She married Henry L. Attar and he survives.

She worked at the state mental hospital in Elgin for several years and was a member of the Catholic church.

Other survivors include three sons, Dennis of Santa Rosa, Ca., Jerry of Romeoville, Warren of San Francisco, Ca.; a daughter, Kathy Attar of Elgin; five brothers, John R. Coan of Olney, Francis Coan of Sumner, Phillip Coan of Kalkaskia, Mi., Walter Coan of Allery, MI, Lawrence Coan of Elmyra, MI; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Robins of Bradenton, Fla., Mrs. Evelyn Sharrock of Campbell Hill, Rosa Lee Daubs of Mt. Erie, Mrs. Julia Hawkins of Noble and Mrs. Bertha Branham of Olney; a grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
