Wanita J. Martin, 91, of Olney died Monday, August 19, 2013 at Burgin Manor in Olney. Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Bush officiating. Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Wanita  was born on June 11, 1922 in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of George Winsor and Verno Isabelle (Daggy). She married Charles L. "Dot" Martin on April 11, 1943 in Fayetteville, NC. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2004.

Wanita was a graduate of Olney Township High School. She was an active member for many years at Elm Street Christian Church and then became a member of Olney Christian Church. She worked as a bookkeeper for car dealerships until she retired, she then worked part time at Sears in Florida. Wanita enjoyed ceramics, cooking, and decorating for all the holidays. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Wanita was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a strong faith and instilled that in her children.

She is survived by her Daughter, Sally Siesky and husband, Larry of Evansville, IN; Son, George Martin and wife, Kathy of Olney; Grandson, William Christopher Wood and wife, Rose of Decatur, IL; Granddaughter, Lindsey Martin of Olney; Grandson, Chad Martin of Olney; Great Grandchild, Brianna Wood of Decatur, IL; Great Granddaughter, Riley Jo Kraus of Olney; Great Grandsons, Justin, Jeremy, and Jonathan Wood of TX; and Brother, Bob Winsor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter and son-in-law, Diana Sue and Donald Wood, and grandsons, Brian Michael Wood and Patrick Aaron Johnson.
